Date & Time [mm:dd:yy & hh:mm:ss]

They set up the date and time saving the information in the system watch. If the battery of the mother card is unloaded or the CMOS of the mother card were resettatti, reseting up these settaggi will be necessary. It is possible to modify the date and time also from the inside of the operating system.

IDE Primary Master/Slave & Secondary Master/Slave [Auto/Manual]

These voices can have sotto-menu gods and allow to set up the rigid disc units connected to the card mother. Typically modifying these parameters is not necessary and the automatic survey mode is advisable, if possible.

Access Mode [Auto/Normal/LBA/Large]

- Auto: he fits to the majority of the cases and they do not have problems with the discs of big capacity.
- Normal: he modifies for the old rigid discs.
- LBA (Logical Block Addressing): use a addressing of the data in way different as regard the option 'Normal'. Useful to exceed the 8.4 Gb god limit that is 1024 cylinders.
- Large: it allows to step over the limit of the 1024 cylinders for the systems as operating as MS-DOS.

The value of the real capacity of the disc is shown here.

Cylinder, Head, Sector & Landing Zone

These settings compromise the start of the system and the loss of the data of the hard disc can cause. To be used with old Unix systems and rigid discs of old conception.

Halt on [All Errors / No Errors / All, But Keyboard / All, But Diskette / All, But Disk-Key]

He shows on what mistakes the system must block him. Left active several possible voices, since otherwise in consequence of some mistakes, the system he continues the execution of the program and they can be beds and writings you date at random without the user being aware.
